This graphic novel adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s THE HANDMAID’S TALE, with art & adaptation by Renee Nault, is superb. For starters, this was one of the most impactful books I’d read at the time so it holds a very special place in my heart. I devoured the TV series when it came out and to see there was a graphic novel made me so happy! I thought the adaptation was done very well. I read it in one sitting and felt like it did a great job conveying the story and also that terrifying sense of dread I felt the first time around. The art is absolutely fantastic (a few samples below). Perfectly atmospheric in keeping with the dark themes of the book. I highly recommend to anyone whether you have read the original or not, although if you haven’t read the original book, please, please do.
